My practice is not a Band-Aid approach. I want to give the tools to my clients to be able to help themselves while using me as a guide when needed. For the last many years I've been working in two different environments. One is very much clinical work where I worked on a variety of mixed martial artists and body builders using deep tissue, sports massage, cupping, and myoskeletal realignment techniques and the other is a high end spa where most of my clients wanted to feel pampered with hot stones and scrubs. I enjoy practicing massage in either setting because healing comes in many forms and I've see the incredible results in physical health, mood, and mental states as a result of both. It's an indescribable feeling to release long standing tension that in many cases are a result of trauma, but to do this, it is important for the client and therapist to build trust with one another and this can take some time. It's important to trust the process and believe in your ability to heal yourself while being honest about what you are feeling during our sessions. If something doesn't feel right it is ok to say something. It's never fun to walk away from a massage feeling like it was too painful or not deep enough. I very much look forward to meeting you and am always open to new clients. Give me a call and lets talk about the best route for your healing experience!
